The HD is the perfect trike for road and trail use with its high frame and excellent ground clearance. The HD has a wider, roomier cockpit and it is 2" longer than the standard Adventure. The higher seat position compared to some of our other trikes gives easy access to the trike and a great view when cycling. Supports riders up to 330lbs.
ADVENTURE HD CHARACTERISTICS
The ICE Adventure HD applies the engineering, design and functionality of the standard ICE Adventure range, but with more generous sizing, supporting riders up to 330lbs and it is 2" longer on the x-seam. It is the perfect trike for road and trail use with its high frame and excellent ground clearance. It features indirect steering for natural, controlled and intuitive handling from the first ride.
The higher seat position compared to some of our other trikes gives easy access to the trike and a great view when cycling. The HD features a wider and deeper seat. The seat angle can be easily adjusted to one of four positions. The Adventure HD is available in Rigid, Rear or Full Suspension models, offering several levels of riding comfort to suit all budgets. You can also choose a 20" rear wheel frame which is ideal for touring or a 26" rear wheel frame which is great for higher speed cycling.
DURABLE ELEGANT OPTIMISED FRAMES
Our frames are designed to respond to the forces of the rider and road. Every element of the Adventure HD frame has been engineered to complement the other, giving ICE trikes their famed riding characteristics.
Each frame is made from the finest aircraft-grade heat-treated 4130 Chromoly steel and 7005 T6 heat-treated aluminium. Chromoly steel is used in the centre frame cruciform section for the perfect combination of strength, fatigue resistance and vibration absorption. Aluminium is used in the rear frame and front boom because it is strong, lightweight and absorbs dynamic forces while ensuring maximum power transfer.
All frames are powder-coated for a beautiful durable showroom finish, whilst other components are anodised for durability.
SWEPT DESIGN CRUCIFORM
The Adventure HD features our easy access swept cruciform. Allowing you to get your feet further under you for a more stable entry and exit of the trike. We have also slightly raised the seat position by 12mm. This allows for clearer access to remove the seat when folding the trike, this also creates improved heel clearance for smaller riders.
ICE HD ERGO-LUXE SEATS
The ICE Adventure HD is available with two different seat options:
The Ergo-Luxe seat is the most comfortable trike seat on the market and the most comfortable you will ever sit on. Beautifully designed to provide the ultimate level of comfort and back support with breathable fabrics that maximise airflow.
The Ergo-Flow seat has been designed to provide optimum back support. It is lightweight and breathable which is ideal for warmer climates. Breathable fabrics maximise airflow and cooling. Cushioning in the base and side bolsters further enhances riding comfort.
Both HD seats are 2.5" wider and 2" deeper, maximising comfort for larger riders. The tension in the back of the seats can be easily adjusted. Both also feature a handy top weather-sealed pocket for storing small items such as keys and phones and they both have reflective side detailing that keeps you visible at night.
C.F.T FOLD
The ICE Compact Flat Twist fold is one of the many innovations that ICE has brought to the recumbent world. The fold is based around a lightweight heat-treated aluminium hinge on the main frame. All ICE trikes (except the VTX) can be folded for transporting in a car and for storing your trike.
Simply remove the seat, fold the handlebars flat, and undo the quick release lever to fold the frame. As the frame folds, the rear wheel pivots to fit flat between the front wheels. The C.F.T fold allows the trike to be folded in under 30 seconds and works with ICE accessories. You can even fold the trike with our Shimano STEPS motor system fitted.
Shimano E-Bike Systems
The ICE Adventure HD is available with or without the EP801 or EP6 Shimano E-Bike motor systems. All the power you need at just the right time. Responsive, quiet, lightweight and controllable. Providing a seamless and easy ride from a standing start even on steep inclines. Featuring a powerful 250w electric motor, custom-designed ICE specific forged motor housing, 85Nm torque, 630Wh battery. Choose between Boost, Trail, Eco and intelligent Walk modes. Supports assist level up to 25 km/h or 20mph depending on regional regulations.

COCKPIT
Individually optimised to suit every rider perfectly, the cockpit on the Adventure HD is 2” wider due to the stronger and wider cruciform that provides a larger cockpit. This is complemented by an HD Ergo-Luxe seat which is 2” wider and 2” deeper, coupled with the ICE Rider Positioning System the Adventure HD can be individually optimised.
WIDE HANDLEBARS
The Adventure HD features our improved handlebar design which allows for a wide roomier cockpit. This gives the rider more room while cycling, steering and turning the trike. Shown here in as a comparison with the previous Adventure HD model handlebars in grey.
SECURE INDEXED HANDLEBAR CLAMPS
The Adventure HD models feature an improved handlebar clamping system with super secure indexed clamps to ensure the handlebars easily remain fixed in position at all times and return to your preferred position after folding the trike.
ACCESSORIES
Automatic GEAR SHIFTING
The optional Enviolo Automatiq hub offers truly stepless fully automatic gear shifting. Forget gears! Simply pedal and go. Set your preferred pedalling speed once and the hub will constantly adjust its internal gear ratio to maintain a steady smooth cadence regardless of the speed or riding conditions you encounter. If you ride uphill it will adjust to a lower gear ratio and if you ride downhill it will do the opposite. It's very clever! Available on Shimano E-Bike systems trike models.
